Third World

Are there certain people that make you feel as though you’re from a third world country when you’re around them? I had a conversation with a friend the other day and we have that in common. The fact that some people make us feel that way. It’s not really anything they have but certain circumstances and differences in our lives.

You would never think that this person would make me feel this way. It’s not what she has but certain remarks that her and her husband have made. I feel as though because I married someone that was not born and raised here they look down on us. Which brings me back to my first posting, because his skin is brown does not make him less of a human than you or I. I know secretly you call him a “wetback” but that’s okay because secretly we say things about you too. He’s probably a lot smarter than you will ever be and you were born and raised here. He came from nothing but so did you and yet you think you’re better than everyone else. I know that comes from your low self esteem and your insecurities but honestly your defense is your ego and it shows. Name brands don’t cover up what’s on the inside. We may not shop at Armani but our hearts are made of gold. Can you say the same about yours?

That's why I treat people the same all year round, to avoid hypocracy. I treat everyone the same no matter their status in life. To me we're all bare souls just wanting to be loved.
