FEMA
I was just informed that FEMA never prepared the Hispanic speaking community for the storm. Really no one was prepared but they never showed anything on the Spanish speaking stations regarding this storm. SURPRISE!! Katrina comin’ atcha. What? There is something wrong with that. Now I don’t know if my friend was misinformed or not but if she wasn’t, what the hell is wrong with these people? She wants me to do something about it. I’m working on it.

I touched on this point last week. All you saw of course were black faces, some white and hardly any brown faces. My question was, "How come there was no coverage about hispanics in the area?..(Particularly from Telemundo or any other "hispanic" outfit)..There are plenty of Latinos-living in the area. Having been to and through Louisiana, I saw them.
Of course, finally someone woke up to the fact. The Red Cross is asking for bilingual(Spanish)volunteers.
