So there’s no worky today. They want me to sit here and be bored all the live long day. It’s going to be a long one.
Today they imploded the Showboat aka the Castaways. One of the older casinos of Las Vegas. It closed maybe more than a year ago maybe less. Not sure. The point is it closed. It was old and stinky but it held a lot of memories. When I was little and even as an adult we’d go bowling here. I played bingo there. Had some drinks there. Of course, ate there. And well occasionally even spent the night there. Now it’s gone, poof. Literally. Alfonso received his “green” card yesterday. He must have stared at that thing for an hour. He’s so cute I could bite his ear off.
OMG I’m bored.

awww yes the showboat how my mom is going to miss that place everytime she'd see it she would ask are they ever going to reopen that place? I called her today and she woke up to it blowing up. I also have great memories of that place. My it go in peace
Haven't been to the Showboat...
but I know what you mean about "memories".
Unfortunately, life's responsibilies do take us away from friends- but our friends continue to be friends...we just don't see each other as often.
